Bernard F. Stehle, associate Professor of English at Community College of Philadelphia, has taught on critical thinking and writing for the past twenty years. A poet and award winning author/photographer ("Incurably Romantic," Temple U. Press, 1985), he has long been interested in the history of the Holocaust in education, popular culture, and scholarship. Following publication of "Another Kind of Witness" (Jewish Publication Society, 1988), he spent several years interviewing and photographing -- in Poland, Hungary and Israel -- a number of the twins who survived Mengele’s medical experiments at Auschwitz. Professor Stehle is also a frequent panelist at conferences of the American Literature Association (ALA) on the life and poetry of E. E. Cummings, and is a contributing editor of "Spring: The Journal of the E. E. Cummings Society."
