Slought Foundation, a non-profit organization rethinking contemporary arts, is pleased to announce a poetry reading with British poets Drew Milne and Redell Olsen on Tuesday, April 4, 2006 from 6:30-8:00pm at Slought Foundation. The poetry reading will be introduced by Jena Osman of Temple University, with a discussion to follow moderated by Bob Perelman of the University of Pennsylania. This event has been made possible through the sponsorship of "Temple-Penn" Poetics and the Penn and Temple Creative Writing Programs.


Drew Milne is the Judith E. Wilson Lecturer in Drama and Poetry, University of Cambridge. Recent publications include The Damage: New and Selected Poems (2001), Mars Disarmed (2002), Go Figure (2003). the anthology Modern Critical Thought: An Anthology of Theorists Writing on Theorists (2003), and, with Terry Eagleton, Marxist Literary Theory: A Reader (1996).

Redell Olsen has taught on poetic practice in the Department of English at Royal Holloway, University of London, since 2003. Olsen is a poet and the managing editor of How(2), the journal of Contemporary Innovative and Modernist Writing by Women. Redell Olsenšs publications include Book of the Insect (Stroud, Allsingingalldancing, 1999) and Book of the Fur (Cambridge, Rem Press, 2000). Her poetry and critical work has appeared in magazines and small press chapbooks in Britain and the North America, including Pom2 (New York) and Performance Research (London and Dartington College of Arts).
