The programs of the Slought Foundation have featured a variety of international figures who are widely acknowledged as pioneers in their respective fields, including Dennis Oppenheim, Werner Herzog, Helene Cixous, Hermann Nitsch, William Anastasi, Arakawa + Gins, and Braco Dimitrijevic.

Many of these individuals emphasize research as a fundamental component of their work, and they challenge us to reconsider the politics of exhibition display and prevailing curatorial and disciplinary approaches by evading clear distinctions between artist, critic, and curator.
