Curatorial and Research Fellowships
Slought Foundation offers unpaid fellowships for aspiring curators and researchers interested in assisting upcoming programs and publications of the Slought Foundation. Fellows work "behind-the-scenes" with the Executive Director, as well as with the coordinator on upcoming installations and the curatorial team on upcoming programs. The fellows program provides an immersive opportunity to experience first-hand cultural administration at an organization such as the Slought Foundation. The program is intended for interested individuals and recent graduates pursuing or interested in art practice, curatorial work, critical writing, or non-profit administration who are actively developing their work and career. Applicants must commit to regularly scheduled hours each week for a 2-12 month period and applications are reviewed throughout the year. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, curatorial and publication assistance; live and recorded archival work, and exhibition implementation.
To apply, fill out the form to notify us of your interest, then send a brief letter outlining your interests, with professional and technical qualifications, to Aaron Levy, Executive Director (Contact Information).
College Internships
Slought Foundation announces its 2010 internship opportunities for college and graduate students interested in careers in contemporary art and arts organizations. Based upon their training and interests, and available projects, interns will assist with one or more of Slought Foundation's upcoming projects or responsibilities, including a curatorial, archival, or publication initative. Applicants of diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Unpaid internships are available on a full- or part-time basis. The number of positions varies according to the organization's needs, and opportunities range from three months to twelve months. Application should be made at least two months prior to the start date. Academic credit may be arranged for interns at their schools' discretion.

Volunteer Opportunities
Slought Foundation is built upon the dedication and support of its volunteers. Volunteers create a welcoming environment for our public, enhancing their understanding and enjoyment of our exhibitions and events. Positions are available for weekdays and weekends during our regular hours, and evenings during our live events. Prior experience or an interest in either contemporary art, critical theory, or arts administration is recommended. To apply, fill out the form to notify us of your interest.
