Plan Your Visit

Slought is located at 4017 Walnut Street in West Philadelphia, on the edge of the University of Pennsylvania campus. We are housed in a historic Deco/Beaux-Arts bank building from 1924. Our quiet storefront borders 40th Street, a "linear mile" that runs from Walnut to Westminster Streets. Our programs respond to the uneven distribution of economy, community and social trust that surrounds us.

COVID-19 Re-opening Information

Slought is pleased to announce the re-opening of our front gallery to the general public by appointment only beginning Thursday, October 1, 2020. Visitors are required to schedule a visit through Eventbrite at least one hour prior to arrival. Visitation will be limited to one group at a time (3 individuals max). All visitors are required to follow our COVID-19 Social Contract, which entails wearing a face-covering, undergo a temperature check, and sanitizing their hands regularly. Free PPE will be provided if needed. Visits are limited to one hour.

Our re-opening follows the guidelines set forth by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, City of Philadelphia, and University of Pennsylvania. We will adapt our reopening plan in accordance with changes to safety protocols at the city, state, and university level.
