Housed in a former Deco/Beaux-Arts bank from 1924 and designed by architect George Kingsley, our organization provides a flexible cultural setting for events, meetings, receptions and parties. Whatever the affair, your guests will have the opportunity to view our current exhibitions.
100-150 persons, dependent on the current exhibitions. Garage and street parking are available adjacent to Slought and on surrounding streets.
While our rates are negotiable, they are generally in the range of $750 per evening / $1100 per day. Audio-video technologies are available for an additional fee. All fees must be paid in full in advance. No refunds will be provided if cancellation occurs less than three weeks prior to the date of the event.
Clients are responsible for hiring their own caterers. All Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board laws must be observed. No minors may be served alcoholic beverages and the client is responsible for insuring responsible consumption. Alcohol may be served if the event is private and no fee is being charged for beverages. Smoking is not permitted inside the building. Please note that Slought does not have kitchen facilities.
Clients, or their insurer, are responsible for all damages incurred to the space. Contact us to determine whether your function will require a certificate of liability and property insurance.
For those providing a certificate of liability and property insurance, the policy must be in the amount of $500,000 for bodily injury and $500,000 for property damage, and read: "Slought Foundation is named additional insured under this policy." The certificate must show evidence of Comprehensive Liability, Blanket Contractual Liability, Personal Injury Liability, and, if alcoholic beverages will be served, Host Liquor Liability.
If you are not insured or a certificate cannot be procured by the date of your event, you will be personally and immediately responsible for any damages incurred to the facility. A supplemental rental deposit may also be required.
