Plumb is the director of the Dennis Oppenheim Studio and manages the artist's archive and legacy. She began as his assistant in 1977, became his wife in 1998, and worked closely with the artist until his death.
Dennis Oppenheim (1938-2011) has received international attention for a conceptual oeuvre spanning performance, video, sculpture, installation, and land art. In the early 1970s, he was in the vangard of artists using film and video to investigate the body and performance. He exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art, the Tate Gallery, the Stedeljik Museum, and the Whitney Museum of American Art, among others, and was an active participate in the New York City's Learning through an Expanded Arts Program (LEAP). Plumb has maintained his legacy through recent events and exhibitions at Columbia University Teachers College, Henry Moore Institute, Slought, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and MOT International.
