Kunda Dixit

Dixit is the publisher and editor of the Nepali Times, and uses both Twitter and his blog East West to share reflections and experiences. After graduating from Columbia University, Dixit worked as a reporter for BBC in New York, and after as the Asia-Pacific director of Inter Press Service until 1995. He is the author of Dateline Earth: Journalism As If The Planet Mattered. Dixit is also committed to addressing the digital divide both locally and globally through computer literacy and access to both computers and the internet.

He is also the author of a trilogy of books chronicling the conflict in Nepal. These include A People After War (2009), Never Again (2009), and A People War (2006). These publications feature photographs by journalists and Nepalese citizens and focus on everyday life amidst the Nepal civil war, and advocate for post-war reconciliation and healing. He is collaborating with Slought to bring the project A People War online.
