Laurel McLaughlin

Laurel McLaughlin is a Curatorial and Research Fellow at Slought, and a graduate student at Bryn Mawr College in the History of Art Department with a focus on Modern and Contemporary practice. Prior to settling in Philadelphia, she graduated from The Courtauld Institute of Art's Masters program in London with Distinction in Art History. Based on her academic background and interests in aesthetic justice, feminist performance art, migratory aesthetics, and identity formation in globalized contexts, she hopes to explore the interaction between politically motivated art and its ability to ideologically transform communities at Slought.
