A new music series situated at the edge of contemporary experimentation with sound, technology and new media
Slought is pleased to announce a series of new music concerts situated at the edge of contemporary experimentation with sound, technology and new media. Each event will explore and question assumptions concerning the function and expectation of music today, whether through formal instrumentation or home-made microphones and electronics, definitive compositions or structured improvisation and electro-acoustic works.
The series, organized in collaboration with Sound Field NFP and composer Gene Coleman, will commence September 26, 2005 and through ongoing programs seeks to contribute to ongoing cultural exchanges between European, Asian and Middle Eastern composers.
