Andrea Ngan

Ngan designs interactives and products for common good. Her work explores the cross-section of art, design, media, public space, social justice, research, and new technology.

As the Director of Education and Outreach, she helped establish The Periscope Art & Architecture Institute from 2010-2012 in San Diego, CA.

She has served as a fifth-year undergraduate thesis juror and teaching assistant at The New School of Architecture & Design; taught youth at Media Arts Center, San Diego; led multimedia courses at High Tech High North County, San Diego; collaborated on food justice programs with Children's Aid Society in East Harlem, New York; and developed media strategies and partnerships for the Brooklyn College Community Partnership. Her experience teaching youth and college level courses led her to initiate the Summer Urban Labs program in downtown San Diego.

As a former Interaction Designer at Local Projects, she designed interactives and concepts for the 9/11 Memorial Museum, One World Trade Center, and the Equal Justice Initiative.
