Jean-Michel Rabaté

Rabaté has authored or edited 35 books on modernism, psychoanalysis, contemporary art, philosophy, and writers like Beckett, Pound and Joyce.

Recent books include Think, Pig! Beckett at the limit of the Human, New York, Fordham, 2016, The Pathos of Distance, New York, Bloomsbury, 2016 and Les Guerres de Derrida, Montréal, Presses de l'Université de Montréal, 2016. Forthcoming are the book Rust, Bloomsbury, 2018, and the edited collection After Derrida, Cambridge, Cambridge University Press, 2018.

Rabaté is also a Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Pennsylvania. He is one of the founders of Slought, and a managing editor of the Journal of Modern Literature. Since 2008, he has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and was the president of the Samuel Beckett Studies association.
